• “Why didn’t the report sooner” can be a failure statement to a survivor
• It’s not and it never was the survivor’s responsibility to bring the perpetrator to justice or to prevent them from future acts.
• The freeze response, how your body uses it to keep you safe, and why it affects reporting instinctively.
