Description

My guest today is Karlton Meadows, MS, MA, MS, XPS, TTS, XFS

Karlton Meadows, fondly known as Fit Gramps, founded QFit, a Fitness and Wellness program. He is Ex Military and holds three Master’s degrees. He is one of America’s Top Fitness Professionals, receiving endorsements from top officials, including Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Department of the Navy, and the United States Special Operations Command. He is an overcomer, reinventing himself from a sickly, scrawny, last-picked, bench-riding kid with club feet. He became America’s 1st & only 20-year Navy Combat veteran with service-connected disabilities to make a historic collegiate track debut as a walk-on to the University of Tampa Team at age 45. Karlton expanded his professional experience as a corporate fitness expert for Johnson & Johnson, New York Life, Met Life, and Bristol Myers Squibb. As an industrial sports medicine professional, Karlton served Costco and Georgia Pacific. With all this and more in his background, Karlton is a sought-after trainer to affluent men over 40 who are ashamed and frustrated with their bodies to burn fat, build muscle and boost hormones without starving and spending hours in the gym. Karlton,

  1. Fitness clients usually have goals when they seek a coach. What would be the optimal course to achieving fitness goals?

  2. Men's health has come front and center; it is about time, especially mental health. There is general acceptance of fitness as a physiological health strategy. Would you say fitness impacts mental health?

  3. In researching you, I saw mention of habit stacking. What is that?

  4. I see you are now a grandfather. Most men your age have what is fondly known as a ‘dad bod.’ Many ex-military do not maintain basic fitness post the military, yet you, at age 46, won a USA Track & Field Silver Medal in the 800m. What is your secret?

  5. What role does psychology play in your fitness programs, and is this part of QFit?

  6. How does fitness move from an activity we engage in into a lifestyle?

  7. If someone watching this show wants to work with you, give us a sneak peek into the experience of what it means to have you as a fitness coach. (indicate your ideal client in this portion)

  8. Is there anything else you would like to share?
