You might be saying to yourself "this isn't a true crime show" and you would be right, but the reason we're covering this is because the people who committed this crime were apart of a deadly cult who use their twisted idea of the Afro-Cuban spiritual practice of Palo Mayombe to justify their actions. This is just one example of how some people twist all kinds of magical, religious and spiritual practices to benefit their financial, power, and psychological needs by convincing others of their erratic ideologies.
