Brendan began his entrepreneurial journey in 1995 when a group of investors from Chicago empowered him to purchase and operate three companies. With three successful ventures under his belt, Anderson co-founded Evolution Capital Partners to invest in small companies like the ones he’d previously acquired and ran. After three committed funds and 19 platform investments, Anderson wanted to pursue long-term growth in his companies while also empowering people to become entrepreneurs through acquisition the way he had. So, in 2018, he founded ScaleCo, a nontraditional private equity firm that deploys entrepreneurship by acquisition strategy in micro-middle-market companies mostly drivable from Cleveland. ScaleCo has executed three platform investments and installed its Operating Partners as heads of the companies, fulfilling Anderson’s vision of making entrepreneurship and ownership possible for even more people.
