Description

It’s time to discuss about how the situation in Afghanistan looks like after a month of Taliban taking control of it. There have been several key developments happening recently including the formation of their Govt which apparently doesn’t include any women. UN’s political head, Pramila Patten has in fact pointed out at the importance of women’s participation in the decision making of the Govt which will also provide inclusiveness and legitimacy to the functioning of this regime. A recent report by UNICEF points out several key problems which need to be urgently addressed in Afghanistan including the devastating hunger situation and drought problems faced there. Listen into more insights shared here by George Mavros and Maryam Popal Zahid (Founder of Afghan Women on the Move).
