🎓🏫A University can play a key role in laying down a strong foundation for entrepreneurs. What an entrepreneur needs at an early stage even before building their LEAN Canvas are 2 critical elements: confidence in building their idea and mentorship from someone who has already gone through a similar journey.
🇦🇺🌉 Universities in Sydney like UNSW have been playing a major role in doing that with programs such as UNSW Founders, UNSW Heroes, and Interchange Program. I discussed this as well as the role of the Governments in nurturing those entrepreneurs beyond their University life with David Burt who is the Director of Entrepreneurship at UNSW Sydney.
🏛️ Not only does any Government can play a major role in funding new ventures but also providing them with a subsidized shared workspace or even playing a part in procurement and becoming a customer of those startups. Sydney itself is home to so many such fantastic shared workspaces like Fishburners, Work Club Global, WeWork, Stone & Chalk, and Tank Stream Labs.
