Alibi is an initiative started by Gagasan Mahasiswa Undang-Undang Sabah (GUNS).
As a Malaysian, September 16th is a significant historic date as it commemorates the merging of North Borneo (Sabah), Sarawak, Singapore, and the Federation of Malaya to form our home country today - Malaysia. As a law student society based in Sabah, we honour this formation by unpacking the truth behind the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) to remind ourselves of its significance and implications to us today.
In this Malaysia Day Special Episode, GUNS has invited a very special guest speaker, YB Datuk Darell Leiking to share with us Sabah's perspective of MA63 then and today, and to elaborate on the story of Malaysia that never came to be.
