A farmer lost his watch in the barn. It was a family heirloom and of great value. After searching the hay for a long while; he gave up. Sharing his plight with some of the children playing outside one young boy offered to help. Minutes later the same boy emerged from the barn with the precious watch. Incredulous, the farmer asked how he found it. “I sat quietly and listened until I heart the ticking” was the boy's answer. The young boy’s strategy is the invitation of the prophets - come and hear the passion of God’s heart. It too has been lost in the distractions (hay and manure seem fitting) of the world. Be still and you will know Me, God says.(Ps 46:10).
