This Saturday will be 10 years since my father (Mama Hayes' husband) took his life. A year later in 2009, Mom and I were blessed to share our story with ESPN. For this episode we share Mike's story. Suicide is always a hard conversation but one that needs to be had to help end the stigma against it. Football fan or not, take a listen as we hope Mike's story can help save some one else's life. Mama Hayes and I are trying to become more involved in suicide prevention and this Saturday I am participating and fundraising for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention walk in DC (donation link below).
