From Reading the Back of The Book, to discovering what this book truly was, Domonique and I were able to discuss the loss of the closest person in ether of our lives. It's crazy how it really does seem that 'only the good die young.'
We talk about what our losses mean to us, how we've dealt with it, and how we learned to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and in the names of Akon (the REAL Akon, Adam Kondioti circa 1990! the singer stole his name!!) and Aaron, in my and Dominque's lives respectively.
Whether you've experienced the loss of the closest person in your life or not, we have all dealt with loss and it is so refreshing to see how Dominique is a beacon of shining light in such a dark time in her family's life as she is able to not only get them back on track, but share her journey through her work.
