Miguel Mendoza is a singer, songwriter, pianist, film scorer, stage actor and host. In 2006, Miguel placed 4th place in the first-ever version of Idol Series in the country known as "Philippine Idol" After his stint at the Philippine Idol contest, Miguel became one of the scholars of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Dream Academy, the country's version of Endemol's Operación Triunfo (Operation Triumph) and won as the 3rd Star Dreamer. Prior his stint to joining contests, he was trained under Master Ryan Cayabyab's School of Music.
His career as songwriter has also gained tractions when he won the "6th FAMAS Awards Best Original Song" in his composition - "Isa Pang Araw" popularized by Filipino singer-actress Sarah Geronimo.
