Since its independence, America has never not at war. Be it in the domestic front or in some international conflicts, US government has embarked America in a journey of war of sort with anyone the government claims to be enemy.
At times it's obvious such was in the case of the war with Iraq; other times, not so obvious. But most of the wars America is involved in could be avoided.
With China, it's a different kind of war; it's a trade war, a war that's been ongoing for several decades now.
