Welcome to OHSCA Interviews! Today we have the MP for Northumberland—Peterborough South joining us, Philip Lawrence.
Philip was first elected in the 2019 election and was re-elected in 2021. He grew up on a horse farm, where he developed a love of horses and the outdoors. Prior to working in politics, Philip earned his BA in Political Science at Brock University. He went on to attend Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business to obtain his law degree and MBA. He started his practice in law with a focus on taxation and corporations. In 2008 he joined one of Canada’s largest financial institutions, becoming the third generation in his family to work in Financial Services. Philip currently serves as the Conservative Shadow Minister for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Eastern, Central and Southern Ontario.
