The term "false flag operations," refers to what Merriam Webster Dictionary has defined as " a hostile or harmful action (such as an attack) that is designed to look like it was perpetrated by someone other than the person or group responsible for it. A deliberate misrepresentation of motives or identity." The term's origin comes from pre-radio communication days when flying another country's flag would conceal the original identity of a ship at sea. History tells us that the pretext for Nazi Germany's invasion of Poland that started World War II was a series of over 20 separate false flag incidents among them the infamous "Gleiwitz Incident" where a German radio station was supposedly attacked by Polish soldiers who were really German soldiers wearing Polish uniforms. For the past year there seem to have been similar episodes where public attention was diverted intentionally from serious issues. This is not how our democracy should work.
