There are families faced with struggles that most people can't even begin to understand. It is a struggle for just the basic needs to maintain life. Not even a qualify of life, just the basic needs to be alive. Families don't often speak about this struggle because they fear judgment from others. They are exhausted, alone and most of the time barely making it day to day. Their experiences are real. Their experiences are hard and no one should be aloud to try to silence them.

Approximately one-quarter of U.S. children with autism are considered to have severe or "profound" autism. Profound autism refers to a subset of individuals with autism spectrum disorder who have significant intellectual and/or communication challenges, requiring lifelong 24-hour supervision and support for daily living activities. Key criteria typically include an IQ below 50, minimal or no verbal language, and an inability to perform most basic daily tasks without assistance, with these needs being consistent across different settings. The term aims to identify those with the most intensive support needs to promote targeted research and services. CONNECT WITH US!!
