Although a son is poised for an inheritance, an immature child is not entitled to inherit as long as he does not exhibit spiritual maturity. Until a son is able to shoulder the full weight of this responsibility, he should be given the time and space to grow into his role as heir. Only mature sons are eligible to receive their inheritance, which is why the Word of God admonishes and calls every believer to spiritual maturity and commands mature believers to reap their birthright.
