As Christians, we are called to live our lives according to a higher standard. The Bible is God's gold standard and plumbline for all things pertaining to life and godliness. The Bible says that "When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they show their ignorance (2 Corinthians 10:12b). While it may be natural to instinctively resist correction, the Bible reveals that when we heed to instruction and correction, it shows humility and a willingness to grow, revealing our sonship.
