Hi. This is Ian Geldart, the writer, producer, and sound designer of the Real Legitimate Anthology, which has been nominated this year for best Environment Sound Design and best Performance of a Leading Role. Our podcast consists of mini-series, ten episode fictional documentaries, the first being Real Legitimate Actors, a comedy series following failing actors, the second is Real Legitimate Apocalypse, an audio drama following Hannah Rice as she investigates a sinister apocalypse cult, and the focus of this year’s Audio Verse Awards submission. What I’m introducing to you today, is the eighth episode of Real Legitimate Apocalypse, and so I am dropping you more than three quarters of the way into the series.

To appreciate this episode, there is a set of facts you will have to know. Hannah Rice is a Toronto based recently graduated journalist, who at the outset had hoped to investigate the secretive Hermetic School of Heinrich Khunrath, a school at which she has been trapped for three months. Over her stay she has been hypnotized into a malleable meditational state using the trigger word ‘Crimson’. In fact Hannah was under the impression that she had only been at the Hermetic School of Heinrich Khunrath for several days, and not three months. A segment of today’s episode will feature one of these meditation sessions designed specifically for you, our listener, and will take you deep into a traumatic memory of Hannah’s, a memory around which the entire series orbits. Although Hannah has had little memory of her stay at the Hermetic School of Heinrich Khunrath, she has been able to fight back against her hypnosis and in doing so create disturbances and complications for her captors. Because of this, her captors, the leader of which is a woman named Theresa, have decided to allow Hannah to leave the school and return to her previous life. But what has Hannah done that she doesn't remember? And why would a Cult feel comfortable releasing one of its victims? You’re about to find out.
