Hi! I'm Aud Andrews, and I am the voice of Chartrulean in Packhowl Media's audio series, The Madness of Chartrulean. It's an off world science fiction fantasy epic that digs into the mind of Chartrulean, the eccentric inventor of a new form of energy. The abuse of this new energy sets off a chain of events that leads to questions about humanity, as Chartrulean now has to navigate his planet's complicated social and political landscape.
But there's a layer of cosmic mystery to this story. There are forces at work that really can't be explained. I think, though, that the show ultimately examines the meaning of progress and is a statement about our own society's deification of technology. But it does this through the relationships and the backstories of its characters. What really drew me to the role, however, was the themes of impostor syndrome, personal and social anxiety, depression and trauma. Things that I'm personally familiar with and that I wanted to portray as honestly as possible.
