LOVER’S APPREHENSION
Delicately he would caress
My lustrous and spiraling hair
Further place his arms caressingly
' Don't weep,' he would say soothingly
as he wiped off my tears,
What has befallen on him now?
In the hilly mountainous fields
surplus Millet harvest is done
the opulent country beans
have begun burgeoning
Indeed, even in this cool winter
He is conspicuously absent from home
