THE INVINCIBLE WARRIOR

Amidst the seas that ceaselessly sound,

Encircling lands so fertile, profound,

Where Tamil warriors joined the fray,

In fields of valor where corpses lay.

The clash of spears, the foe subdued,

By your steadfast blade, unyielding, crude.

Death, the conqueror, bows to none,

Yet you stand tall, the battle won.

Like birds that tremble on mountain steep,

Wounded beasts that in agony weep,

Your arrows pierced through flesh and bone,

And fields turned red where elephants groan.

The widow’s wail, a mournful song,

Yet pride endures, though grief feels wrong.

Seven great kings, their might undone,

By you, the peerless, victory’s son.

Like hunters trapping tigers near,

With cunning plans and hearts austere,

Your jeweled chest I held so tight,

Embracing strength, my soul’s delight.
