ABOUT THE POEM:

The poem THE UNBRIDLED WARRIOR celebrates the unmatched power and fearsome reputation of a mighty lord, who stands apart from other warriors. While it might be relatively easy for others to overcome their enemies by merely using their weapons through combat, this lord is distinguished by his ability to instill profound terror in the hearts of his foes. His mere presence, symbolized by the sight of his army camp, causes enemies to flee in panic, akin to villagers fleeing from a deadly cobra’s nest or a killer bull in the village square.

The poem highlights that this lord's fearsome reputation is so great that his enemies are overwhelmed by fear, knowing they face a formidable opponent. His triumph is symbolized by his spear raised high, a testament to his unrivaled power and the dread he inspires in those who dare to oppose him.

THE UNBRIDLED WARRIOR

It may be easy for others to subdue,

Blunting their weapons as battles unfold,

Yet my lord's might is a terror untold,

Making his enemies tremble through and through.

They flee at the sight of his camp so true,

Like villagers who from a cobra's hold,

Or a fierce bull in the square, are controlled,

Whispering, "Our formidable foe, we knew."

Only my lord, with spear raised high in view,

Claims such a reputation bold,

His enemies vanish, their courage cold,

For none can match the strength he will exude.
