Welcome to our next episode of #OceanViews!
We are so excited to continue sharing the stories of incredible youth activists globally!
This week's episode features Meg Cummins.
Meg Cummins immerses herself within community, advocates for youth involvement and works toward UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. As the Scouts NSW Assistant Chief Commissioner (Youth Engagement) Meg strives to increase youth empowerment and represent the voice of youth both nationally and overseas. Meg was instrumental in creating change in Rwanda as Project Manager in a Humanitarian Engineering project and lived in Borneo for a month to assist with maintenance in an Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. She also led UOW’s Desert Rose Interior Design team to produce a world class sustainable dementia-friendly house and now works as a Water Engineer. In her spare time, she helps to raise orphaned joey kangaroos. You can find her on Instagram at @megloui!
