A new exhibition exploring the cultural impact of Alice in wonderland opens in london this saturday may 22nd 2021. The multimedia dive into the origins and inspiration of lewis carroll's tales, comes alongside a reopening of the victoria and albert Museum after england's latest pandemic lockdown. The exhibition includes more than 300 objects charting alice's influence on the world, since elice's adventures in wonderland was published in 1865. Alice imagery has been used to sell a variety of products and the stories have also been an inspiration to artists, who have drawn on the surreal characters and scenarios of alice and what she faces. Fashion has also reflected the distinctive alice Style from vivian westwood to victor and rolf high-end designers have given a modern twist to alice's classic blue dress. The exhibition covers five areas where alice has had an impact film, performance, fashion, art, music, and photography. These were made with the help of set designers, many of whom had not been able to work in their usual theatrical jobs due to the chronovirus lockdowns. There is a virtual reality spot where visitors can also immerse themselves further into Alice's World. The exhibition alice curiouser and curiouser opens at the vna museum in London from saturday and will run until December.
