Many times, people get hung up on the idea that they have to be big or famous in order to speak at events. Many events, however, are looking for speakers on a regular basis. Event organizers are also looking for sponsors for those events as well.
What you do to get in as a speaker, or a sponsor of an event, can really dictate the kind of success that you may see as a result of being part of that event.
When you can be a speaker or a sponsor of the event, people start seeing you in a different light. They start believing that you are an expert in that particular area, and somebody that they should be speaking with.
It is time that you start thinking strategically about your events: how are you speak at them and do you sponsor those events?
