Genesis 2:18–22: “Then the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him."…So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh; and the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.” Ephesians 5:33: “However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” Matthew 19:4-6: "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
