Meet the ladies behind the podcast and learn the origin story of Successful: The Podcast.
Karla is an ex-corporate consultant who is now a writer and a life and career coach for women. Natalie is still a corporate consultant who works as a yoga instructor on the side. The two ladies met while working at the same company and stayed in contact even though they never worked together. Throughout their friendship, they’ve shared stories of the trials and successes that come with being a career woman.
Natalie had the idea for the podcast in 2020 when she was struggling with her career, and wanted to be able to share the real stories of women who work to let them know that they’re not alone in what they experience - both good and bad. She knew that Karla would be the perfect partner in this endeavor, and she was! Karla had wanted to create a podcast for a while but hadn’t found the right partner yet. When Natalie came to her with the idea, it was a no-brainer.
Coming up with a name for the podcast was probably the most difficult part of the podcast creation process, but after months of ideation and being disappointed when good podcast names were already taken, the name ‘successful’ came to Natalie while on a run. Successful: The Podcast was born! The ladies aim to tell the real-life stories of women redefining success in life, at work, and on their terms, to inspire listeners to redefine success so it works for them. Welcome to ‘Successful’!
