Busy, busy, busy!!!! I started off the show interviewing the City Clerk of Laurie, Cathy Daniels. We talked about an upcoming ballot issue in April. The City of Laurie is proposing a use tax on merchandise purchased outside of the state. The funds, if approved, will be used to assist law enforcement in that city. I also got the chance to speak with Tim Gallitin. Tim heads up the Camdenton shed for MoDot. We talked about the most recent winter weather incident that moved through the lake area and how it was handled.
The one and only Dave Maupin hung out with me during hour two. Dave, the author of the blog Among the Dogwoods, found some interesting ordinance information and took a few pictures to show the subscribers of his blog. Dave attended the February 22nd meeting and discusses what the county is trying to do with their technology, grant applications for the sheriff's department and more. We also managed to include a recent news story of a crazed young man who decided to run his truck into various buildings in the lake area.
