This week's chronicle is Mahitha. We chat about her journey from theatre to the screen and how she got to telling stories about Indian Mythology! Fun Fact: She's appeared in Sacred Games and Masaba Masaba on Netflix! Mahitha talks about taking chances and how she's managed find purpose in her life. She talks about how she decides to tell stories from mythology and takes us through excerpts from some of her retellings of mythological stories. We chat about what makes a good storyteller, some of her favourite tellers and her journey on becoming one! 

Rajarajeshwari Mahitha is a trained theatre professional from Drama School Mumbai and the American Conservatory Theatre, San Francisco. She is an actor, writer, storyteller, and diehard romantic, obsessed with Indian mythology! Inspired by the books she read, and stories from ancient Indian texts she heard while growing up, she retells these for an audience young adult and older, presenting the ageless in fresh, contemporary ways. She has been featured by creative communities like Kommune India and Tape A Tale. As an actor, Mahitha has appeared in Netflix series like Masaba Masaba and Sacred Games. Her first love though is the stage, and she's been part of several productions with The Madras Players, CreaShakthi, and other theatre groups in Chennai.
