A 20-year-old pilot, Chance graces us with *probably* the most masculine energy that has entered the Vortex to date. Chance starts off by sharing how weird it is to see his sister show up in a professional and "influencer-y" way online since starting this podcast. He also fact-checks some of the family tea dished by Elle in previous Vortex episodes. Classic brotha-sista moments. He then puts words to what it felt like to hear his sister use the word "addict" to describe herself. They reflect on their shared genetics where addiction is very present, and how it's manifested so differently in each of their lives. They sit with the quote, "Genetics loads the gun, environment pulls the trigger."
We also get to hear about Chance's daily routine, his (not-so-traditional) take on gratitude journaling, Wim Hoff method, to-do lists, Chance's origin story of arriving on this planet after being conceived via Petri dish, and how torturous Elle was to him in childhood. Finally, we hold the fun duality between Chance's work as a pilot and Maya's deathly fear of flying. He helps.
