In the concluding episode of our discussion on Sam Dalrymple's book Shattered Lands: Five Partitions and Making of the Modern Asia, I discuss the 1971 war of India and Pakistan, as a result of which Bangladesh came into existence. This was the fifth and the final partition that took place in the Indian subcontinent.
