Have you ever known someone who decided they didn't want to be a Christian anymore? Maybe someone you went to church with growing up, or even a friend or family member? Perhaps you have even considered stepping away from the Church at some point in your own life. The term "deconstruction" has become popularized with the idea of "leaving the faith." We will try to understand deconstruction, discuss some of the reasons why people who have grown up in the Church are deciding to leave their faith, and then we'll look at a Biblical response to those around us in this position. My study of this subject has me excited about the opportunity for the Church and also alert to the challenges we face.
