On this week's Social Action Briefing, hosts SSW student Craig Milch, and Professor Jessica Mitchell provide an update on Biden’s Build Back Better plan. Free community college, favored by many young adults and millennials, and paid family leave have been dropped from the bill and student debt forgiveness. The United States will be the only country not providing paid leave, aside from Papua Guinea which has only recently become industrialized. Numerous secretaries of state are also receiving death threats, with not enough resources to provide adequate protection to our elected officials. Former President Donald Trump evading accountability for the January 6th riots, or as others have called it “demonstrations” and the Facebook Papers, provided insight into how the company consciously chooses engagement over preventing the spread of misinformation.
