Come, let us go to our God in prayer together
Our Lord Almighty, God of all mercy
We acknowledge that we come into your presence only because of the one and only Mediator and Intercessor, Your Son Jesus Christ.
We believe that we have no access to You without His mighty work on the cross for our sins. The almighty savior who secured our salvation and said that “it is finished”
So we come this day together to praise You for indeed before Your throne, we have a strong and perfect plea in the tender care and daily interceding of Jesus for us. Having a brother or sister in Christ praying for us is already such a joy, what more our God Jesus praying for us! He doesn’t forget to pray for us, nor does he sleep like humans do! He doesn’t stop praying for us! O Lord we praise You for such a wonderful savior!
Oh Lord God, our sins and frailties of each day accuse us, Satan accuses us, we thank You that You hear the prayers of Jesus in our defence, you see His work on the cross for our sins, You promise that you will forgive us our sins. Grant us courage because of the saving blood of Christ to draw near to You each day with a true heart in full assurance of faith, to come to You for forgiveness each day, and to enjoy your presence. Knowing that you will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Just as our Lord loves us and intercedes for us in the hour of our need, we come to Your presence to pray for those in our community in Glory who are in need.
We entrust to your care all who are suffering from physical ailments and illnesses.
Betty Wee who suffered from fits last week and is currently receiving medical attention.
(1) Ang Ling Ling's sister and Choo Geck & Rebecca's mother who are suffering from cancer.
(2) Patrick Tan (Louis Cheok's bro-in-law) who has been warded at NTFH for covid19 since Nov 2021. Pray for his family too.
(4) Andrew Quek. Praise God for His presence & protection during the op last Tues (18 Jan) and for complete healing & speedy recovery.
Edr Johnny Lau: PTL for smooth procedures (eye injection & medication) and positive results. Next procedure in 6 weeks time. Heart checkup last Thurs (20 Jan). Pray for favourable result and good healing.
(3) Peter Lau (Edr Johnny Lau's bro), who is homebound and struggling with loneliness. That he and many others who are experiencing loneliness will find comfort in you and the love of the community that you have given to us in Glory.
Pray for those starting in new schools and jobs, and new roles; that you will help them trust in you with all their heart and lean not on their own understandings; help them to submit to you their new ways and new paths so that they can experience the guidance of a loving God who makes straight their paths.
Pray for those looking for your guidance for the next steps in life, that you may grant a heart of patience as they wait for you, knowing you will renew their strength like the eagles.
All these requests we present to you, O Father of mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ, who even now is seated at your right hand to intercede for us. Amen
