Now that you have heard these wonderful testimonies, I now invite you to pray along with me as we intercede together on behalf of others.
Our Creator God, you made us in your image and called us to new life in Jesus Christ. You created us for a relationship with you and your people. Thank you for the privilege that we can approach your throne of grace with our supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings.
We confess that we often fail to persevere in our prayers, even though You have called us to pray without ceasing. Time and again, we feel discouraged when your answers to our prayers are delayed. Our faith grows weak and weary while waiting! Forgive us, O Lord and give us a heart devoted to one another so that we may love one another with brotherly affection and be constant in prayer.
Sovereign God, there is no authority except from You, and those which exist are established by You. Please give the kings, presidents and prime ministers of different nations, the discernment to know your will and the wisdom to act justly and to serve humbly.
We also pray for all pastors and church leaders who are called to shepherd your flock. May they have the wisdom and integrity to be good shepherds and stewards. Please grant them the humility and patience to love and feed their sheep. Help them to remember that the source of our fulfilment is in our identity in Christ and not in anything else.
Almighty God, you sent your Son Jesus Christ to reconcile the world to yourself. He is the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him. We give thanks to You that through faith in Jesus Christ, we can receive this free gift of eternal life.
It grieves You that many in this world either have no opportunity to hear the gospel or have rejected the gospel that was shared to them. We pray for the missionaries whom you have called to preach the gospel to all nations that they will not lose heart when faced with challenges or rejection. May they be strengthened by our prayers.
Most gracious & loving God, we place ourselves and families into your keeping. We admit our dependence on you, for apart from You we can do nothing. You are indeed our refuge and fortress and in you we have full protection.
You have promised us in your Word that whoever believes in you will not perish but will have eternal life. And you also said in your Word that your hands are not shortened that you cannot save. Therefore, we lift up to you, Anna Ceng’s father-in-law and Jek’s parents – we pray for them to know you. Bring people into their lives and as your Word is being shared, convict them of their sins and the need for a Saviour, and to respond positively to your message of salvation in your own perfect time!
Our heavenly Father, we ask for your grace and mercy to surround those who are sick, and we place every one of them into your healing hands. Be merciful to them and let your presence and power be manifested in their lives and bodies.
