Description

This Season 2 final episode is hosted by Dn Huan Yong and his wife, Annabelle.

The Scripture, in Psalm 145 verse 18, says...

“The Lord is close to all who call on him – yes, to all who call on him earnestly.”

Based on this promise, let us come before the Lord in prayer…

Merciful Father and Creator, like the deer pants for the water, cause in us a deep longing and desire to draw near to you so that we might find true refreshment and satisfaction in you, rather than the lesser things of this world!

We acknowledge your power and authority over all things.  Your work is perfect, and all your ways are just! You are altogether faithful and righteous!

Thank you for saving us, loving us and graciously sustaining us by providing for all our needs - even before we ask!  You loved us so much that you sacrificed your Son, Jesus for us while we were still sinners. Your Word reminds us in 1st  John chapter 1 verse 9 that if we confess our sins to you – you are faithful and just and will forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We thank you for giving undeserving people like us the privilege of doing Your work here on earth, and for equipping us with all we need to do it.

Gracious and merciful God, you are so full of love and compassion.  We come to you on behalf of those who look to you in their illness. You know each one of them by name and you know what they are going through right now. Be their comforter and strength. Deliver everyone of them from their afflictions - and surround them with your healing grace and loving presence!

Father, we thank you for establishing the family as an extension of your church on earth.  Today, we lift up to you parents who are entrusted with a tremendous responsibility of bringing up children.

We pray particularly for bro. Kevin – whose wife has pancreatic cysts and whose son has eczema.  Grant Kevin your wisdom and strength, that he will not be overwhelmed by these trials that his family is facing.  We pray for You to give his son relief, and that despite the frustration caused by his condition, he will trust in Your perfect timing to bring healing and learn to be patient, both with himself and his parents. We pray that this will be an opportunity for him to honour You by respecting his father and mother.  And we also pray that the fruit of the Holy Spirit will continue to be evident in the lives of Kevin and his wife, so that their son will see Christ in them and follow their godly examples in this situation.  We commit Kevin and his family into your merciful hand, along with all parents struggling to raise up children in the Lord.

Heavenly Father, we ask for your guidance so that we might walk fully in your blessing and goodness today.  Bless our every endeavour and use it for your glory. Make us a channel of Your blessing, a channel through whom Your love and joy may flow into the lives of others around us. We pray that You may increase in our lives, and we may decrease - so that the blessings that You pour through us to others, may draw them closer to our Lord Jesus Christ.

In whose most holy name we ask and pray.  Amen!
