This episode is brought to you by the members of JOB CG; Dn Benjamin Tan, Sis Elizabeth Lum, Elder Cheng Kim, and Bro Ming Thim.

The Scripture, in Psalm 145:18, says... “The Lord is close to all who call on him – yes, to all who call on him earnestly.”

Based on this promise, let us come before the Lord in earnest prayer.

Merciful Father and Creator, we thank you for your love for each one of us. You are indeed good to us. Your loving-kindness extends to the heavens & your faithfulness reaches to the skies.  We can never fully understand why you chose to love us – all we could do is simply enjoy the goodness of your love.

Even though you have only one and only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, in Him you have adopted us as your sons and daughters to share in the rich inheritance of your beloved Son, Jesus Christ!  However, we have so often failed to act and behave like Your children. We humbly ask your forgiveness.  We thank you for the precious blood of your Son, which cleanses us from sins.

Thank you for saving us, loving us, and providing for all our needs - even before we ask!  You loved us so much that you sacrificed your Son, Jesus, for us while we were still sinners. Your Word reminds us in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins to you – you are faithful and just, and will forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Gracious & merciful God, you are so full of love and compassion.  We come to you on behalf of those who look to you in their illness.  You know each one of them by name and you know what they are going through right now.  Be their comfort and strength.  Deliver every one of them from their afflictions - and surround them with your healing grace & loving presence!

Because of the hope that we have in Jesus - in this life, we can still rejoice even when times are hard – for we know that you are sovereign and your purpose for us is always good.   You have promised to be with us and promised that your grace would be sufficient for us.  We thank you for supplying all our needs.  Thank you for delivering us from those things in the world that seek to seduce and to tempt us to sin.  Thank you for the assurance of your abiding presence & protection!

We acknowledge your power and authority over all things.  Your work is perfect and all your ways are just!  You are altogether faithful and righteous!

During this period when the pandemic is still raging in many places in the world, the war in Ukraine resulted in the loss of lives and global recession, climate change, and many other natural and man-made disasters.

During such times, you are indeed our refuge and strength, our constant help in times of trouble. (Psalms 46:1) and our source of hope (Romans 15:13).

We ask for your mighty presence to keep us and guide us throughout the week.  We place ourselves and our family under your authority.  We admit our dependency on you for apart from Christ we can do nothing.

So hear our prayers, Lord, and grant us this day the desires of our hearts as we seek to follow your will and purpose for our lives and for your church.  We lift up this prayer to you in the mighty Name of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!
