Description

In this episode I had the pleasure of sitting down to chat with movement expert, Angie Berrett. We talked about how trauma shows up in the body, the ways in which our bodies store the trauma, and a bit about the proprietary movement techniques which Angie has created to help people heal.   During our conversation, Angie shared some very interesting things that happen to everybody when stress and trauma are introduced.  One of the main ways that it shows up for us all is in how the body physically stores the stressors over time and can cause major health issues.   When it comes to alleviating the body's overwhelm, Angie knows how to implement proper movement techniques that bring huge relief, in fact, she developed her own method of movement specific to trauma.    One of the Angie'sfavorite suggestions is to add fun and play to your day.  She shared" Part of the way that our nervous systems heal is to play, play is a reality we're. So all mammals, humans included, are born with circuits pre-wired into our brain. And play is one of those. So think about how children learn. They learn by playing puppies learned by playing. And so when as a dolt, we can tap into that circuitry of play, it actually can help to reform, re heal, rebuild neurons in our brain. And so pretending like you're that 13-year-old girl, or boy, you know, singing in the microphone, doing whatever, actually is a way to tap into that part of our nervous system that can heal. So it's multifaceted when you do that."  Are you a survivor of trauma looking for new ways to heal?  Tap the link and connect with Angie today! https://angieberrettmovement.com/ ANNOUNCEMENT: If you are an entrepreneur or small business owner with tips or advice you'd like to share, tap the link and sign up for your complimentary guest spot right here on Flow Working the Entrepreneur's Podcast.  https://calendly.com/megandenaeanderson/flow-interview
