Turn Off The Noise so You Can Tune Into Inspiration

It is easy to get believe that you are being inspired when you scroll through your social media feed or tune out watching TV. Yet the truth is that all you are really doing is making excuses to not be inspired.  Then you go to write inspiring content for your audience and find yourself empty of ideas!

In this episode I chat with content expert Mike Woeckener about ways he finds inspiration to stay consistent in his writing. His number one tip," turn off the television. There's very little unless you're watching something specifically designed but network TV, and definitely don't watch the news. There's nothing inspiring on the news. What I what I did several years ago is I replaced all of that wonderful stuff that I just explained in and I started listening to audio books in the car when I drive instead of listening to sports radio, and it's all speculation on oh boy, the Broncos are going to do really good if these 15 things line up exactly correctly. And who cares? Anyway, and I do like football. But you get inspiration from good literature, be it consumed Audio, Audio Only through audio books, or by actually reading you can find YouTube for me is a good source of inspiration because you can actually find full audio books on YouTube."

Find ways to use what you've got to get yourself inspired then take your inspiration and get it out to your audience.
