In this episode, my regular expert, Mary Gaul, shares her thoughts on why saying no is an important part of planning and productivity. We all love feeling important to others and as entrepreneurs, it's hard to turn away things that feel like opportunities. Yet that is exactly what Mary shares, No is sometimes a vital part of getting better opportunities on your calendar.
Growing a business begins with making a good plan, so what's the point in a plan if you say yes to everything? Mary shares, "that setting that boundary for yourself, and then aligning it again back to your plan. Having that plan in the first place is so helpful because it helps you evaluate all of these other opportunities that come your way and say do they align with where I wanted to go in the first place?" Being aligned with your business and the plan you set out to achieve is not only a great way to grow your business, but it's also a great way to honor yourself too.
