In this episode, I had a lively chat with Jen Uschold about the connections between the mind and the body and how trauma healing must include both for healing to be possible.
Jen Uschold (DeLorenzo) grew up outside of Buffalo, NY and has been a PT for over 3 decades. Out of her love for PT and helping others to empower themselves, she was drawn to both pain science and health coaching. She is proud to have been in the first cohort passing the exam to become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach in 2017. She has completed extensive training studying persistent pain including a Fellowship in Pain Science with Evidence in Motion. Jen is an eager learner and has also studied Lifestyle Medicine and most recently has become a Positive Intelligence Coach for Mental Fitness. Jen went through a challenging divorce. In that process, she realized how to integrate her decades of learning to show up grounded, calm, and confident for divorce mediation. And these strategies can help anyone navigating challenging circumstances or transitions. Her three favorite people are Adrianna, J, and Dean- her three kids. As the saying goes, laughter is good medicine and Jen wholeheartedly agrees.
