In this podcast episode, I have a chat with my regular expert Alison Proffit about how to follow up after events so that you can create connections to other people.
You may know that the point of hosting or going to an event is to meet people so you can get clients, but do you know what makes a good follow-up? Alison shares some practical ways to plan for and execute on developing better relationships after events. One of her favorite tips is to make sure you "don't give people homework!" Take bold action and get connected immediately. Alison's thoughts are "if you're at an event of some sort, like take the action right away. So it might be if it's an in-person event, hey, you know, I have my phone here, like, dude, what's your cell phone number, right? Or like, let's just put it on the calendar." Networking only works if you actually get connected so there's no better time than at the moment!
