In episode 150 I got to talk with creator Carter Malloy about his new equity crowdfunding platform, Acretrader. AcreTrader was created with a simple mission: provide investors direct access to the highly attractive asset class of farmland. Before AcreTrader, an investor’s options were extremely limited in gaining exposure to this alternative asset, and what few options there were carried the burden of high fees, limited or no liquidity (often 10+ years of capital commitment) and/or no control over portfolio composition.
