Matilyn Mortensen is a communications professional living in Northern Utah. Growing up in a conservative faith community, Matilyn internalized the message that the most important thing she could do was be a wife and mother. If she wasn't a wife or mother, anything she did instead was a back-up plan, something to fill her time until her life began for real. But here's the thing. Matilyn is not a wife or a mother, but her life is not a back-up plan. It's just her life.
Over the course of nine episodes, Matilyn is going to chat with women from various walks of life about things like making a place feel like home, being alone, and finding your sense of style. Because no matter what is happening in your life, it is not a plan B.
