Dr. Riddle was the History Department chair and Alumni Distinguished Professor at North Carolina State University. He's authored numerous books on plant-based birth control, medicine and human sexuality such as "Contraception and Abortion from the Ancient World to the Renaissance", "Eve's Herbs: A History of Contraception and Abortion in the West", "Dioscorides on Pharmacy and Medicine", and "Goddesses, Elixirs, and Witches: Plants and Sexuality throughout Human History".
Dr. Riddle joins me to discuss plant-based birth control and abortifacients used before abortion was "banned" in the 19th century in the United States.
