- How to prevent burnout including how to handle a waitlist and enforce your cancellation policy. If you have the resources then you can consider hiring seasonal help at your studio. This could be for simple things like cleaning, or getting another lash artist to take clients for you. Alternatively, just be honest with your client and let them know that your waitlist may be too long due to the high demand in the busy season.
- Tips on how to create extra income this holiday season without extending your hours. An example is creating holiday gift packages or gift bundles with other small businesses — not only for clients but also for them to buy as gifts for others.
- Minimizing downtime in January once the holiday season is over to keep clients coming back regularly after the holidays. An idea is to bundle multiple lash fills at a discounted price. For example, you would package three refills at 20% off. The normal value for your three refills might be $300, but they'd be able to purchase it at $240. This actually brings a refill price down to $80 from $100. Although you can offer packages anytime, offering this exclusive bundle in December for refills beginning in January is highly beneficial. Bonus tip: Don’t spend money received from packages. Be disciplined enough to keep it as a salary for January.
