The Untamed Awards: A Lash Industry Competition

In this episode of Untamed by Untamed Artistry, the discussion centers around the very first annual Untamed Awards and what makes them unique. Untamed Artistry will be giving away $5,000 CAD worth of cash prizes, plus sponsored branded prizes.

The 2022 competition launches on April 1 and runs until April 14. Entry is from April 1–4 and the winners are announced April 9–13, with April 14 reserved for an online closing ceremony.

There are five competition categories:

  1. Educator: This category is to celebrate the educators in our industry. The winner takes home three Untamed Artistry student kits and a $1,000 cash prize.
  2. New Artist: For the lash artist with less than two years’ experience, the winner gets a $500 Untamed Artistry shopping spree to stock up on supplies and $500 cash towards building your business.
  3. Strict Artistry: This category is for showcasing your unique lash artistry. There will be two winners; one with less than three years’ experience and the other with more than three years’ experience. Each wins $500 cash and a $100 Untamed Artistry gift card.
  4. Salon: This category is for showcasing your unique salon. Win $500 cash towards the betterment of your salon, as well as two CosmoGlo lights.
  5. Marketing of Artistry: This is where you can showcase all your marketing efforts. The winner takes $500 cash and one standard entry ticket to The Lash Conference.

Untamed Artistry wanted to create a unique way of giving back to the community. So to enter the competition, there are zero fees. The entire competition will be on social media and they’ve put strict measures in place to remove all judging bias. The competition promotes creativity, individuality, and authenticity.
