In the famous prayer that Jesus taught his disciples to pray, the Lord’s Prayer, the fifth request he teaches is “forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.” Forgiveness is a huge subject, impacting everyone one of us. So what does Jesus have in mind here? And why does he teach his disciples to continue to pray for forgiveness - aren’t they already forgiven? In this sermon we consider these questions.
