This week we go back in time with former Fitzroy and Adelaide coach Robert Shaw. Robert reminisces about his career, reflects on some of his favourite moments and people in the game.
Robert, who played 51 games with Essendon in the 70's and 80's before persistent injuries, started his senior coaching journey in Tasmania before taking on his first AFL senior role with Fitzroy in 1991. He spent four seasons at the helm before stepping aside at the end of 1994 and then headed to Adelaide for the 1995 and 1996 seasons. Shaw coached a total of 130 games.
In this episode, Robert talks about his playing career, how he ended up at Fitzroy, the Lions hardship in their last years, his time at the Adelaide Crows, working at the Bombers and being apart of the 2000 premiership and his favourite football people.
A great listen with our twenty-second member of 'The 90's Club Footy Podcast'.
