Description

This week we go back in time with former Footscray, West Coast and Essendon big man Ilija Grgic.  Ilija reminisces about his career, reflects on some of his favourite moments and people in the game.

Ilija, who commenced his AFL career in 1993 with Footscray, played a total of 87 games in 7 seasons with the Bulldogs, West Coast and Essendon. The 203cm giant kicked 107 goals and was an AFL Rising Star Nominee in his debut season.

In this episode, Ilija talks about his 6 goal haul in his debut season, working alongside Scotty Wynd, the disappointment of the 1996 season, the filming of the Year of the Dog documentary, heading to the West Coast Eagles and his short time at Essendon.

A great listen with our twenty-sixth member of 'The 90's Club Footy Podcast'.
